Our Mission

Our mission is to provide temporary and sometimes forever homes for unwanted cats and dogs in the Polk/Hillsborough County area. We partner with municipal shelters to provide a rescue for “at risk” dogs and cats.

Our organization is proudly led by an all-volunteer Board of Directors. None of our board members or volunteers receive compensation for their time or service. Every hour dedicated to our mission is given freely by individuals who care deeply about the animals and the community we serve. This volunteer-driven structure allows us to direct the maximum amount of donations and resources toward our programs and the animals in our care ensuring that the support from our community has the greatest possible impact.
